Welcome to the Friends of the Middletown Township Public Library!

About Us

The Friends of the Middletown Township Public Library are a non-sectarian, politically neutral, nonprofit 501(c)(3)organization operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

The purpose of the Friends shall be to focus public attention on the educational endeavors of the Library and to encourage charitable donations, gifts, endowments, and bequests to the Library, thereby stimulating increased usage and enhancement of Library resources and services, and thus helping enrich the lives of the local community.

All Friends’ members have one thing in common- they love the Middletown Library! They are constantly seeking to support and extend the Library’s capacity through fundraising, advocacy, and stewardship. This may look like:

  • Securing materials and resources that are beyond the command of the ordinary Library budget
  • Informing the public of available resources
  • Gathering information and analysis of community needs
  • Planning and hosting educational, cultural, and community events
  • Contributing to special projects that enhance public enjoyment of the Library
