musicians, entertainers, poets, performers of all ages welcome at this free, friendly performance opportunity - come share, participate, enjoy!

September is Library Card Sign-up Month - a time to remind everyone that a library card is the smartest card of all.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Middletown Library wants to make sure that all children in Middletown have the smartest card of all – a library card. Public library programming and books for children make a difference in the lives of students. By providing school-age children with engaging programs and amazing collections, students of all ages become excited and enthusiastic readers. Activities at the Middletown Library during Library Card Sign-up Month include teen movies, Zoo Animals, Read to a Dog, Yoga for Kids, and SAT workshops. Getting a library card is easy. Just come to the Borrower Services desk with proof of address and fill out a short form. If you're under 18, you need to come in with a parent or guardian. It only takes five minutes. Observed since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month is a time when the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country remind parents that a library card is the most important school supply of all.

In the Job Resource Center this Week

7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6
Things are looking a little better in the housing market - but for those who have lost their jobs in this recession, little has improved. Job hunting is as hard, as frustrating, as time-consuming as working, without the regular paycheck.

But there are steps you can take to preserve your savings, protect your retirement accounts, and make your money last through a career transition.
As important, there are ways to maintain a positive approach to change and find the real opportunities for making good choices, following your own best path, and insuring that this transition offers long-term opportunities and benefits.
Offered by Financial Planners Kim Barry and Stephen McGahran and Career Coach Donna Coulsen.

Wednesday, July 7, by appointment
Resume evaluations or help with developing a resume. Call 732-671-3700, ext. 320 to make an appointment. Offered by Sherry and Tony Miloscia
