Renew Online to Avoid Late Fees
Now more than ever, people are looking to save money and Middletown Library makes it easy to renew your items and automatically avoid late fees!
You can…
To avoid late fees, renewals must be completed before midnight of the due date. You will be notified if an item is not renewable. Items on HOLD for another patron may not be renewed. If no renewal date is given, the item is not renewed. Please check carefully. You may renew an item up to four times before it must be returned to the library.
Phone number change? Please notify the library so we may correct your customer profile. The system will not recognize you unless our files match your information.

The 2,000 census shows more than 25% of NJ families, 2 million of 5.8 million residents, speak a language other than English at home. They speak Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Creole, Tagalog, Korean, Gujarathi, French, Cajun, Arabic, German, Russian, Hindi, Greek, Telugu, Tamil, Turkish, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Romany, Amharic, Ibo, Twi, Yoruba, Bantu, Swahili, and more.
So many languages, so many people to meet and stories to hear! During August, Middletown Library and the Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth Countywill be sponsoring English Conversation Classes on Tuesday evenings at the main library. If your native language is not English, join other learners in a friendly, fun conversation.
Classes are open to all adults, age 18 and over who are not native English speakers, and are facilitated by trained and certified volunteer tutors.

In the MTPL Job Resource Center this week
Learn about job and training opportunities in the bio-science industry at a workshop Monday, May 17, 7:00 pm.Pat Koziol, President of PEK Associates, Inc., will discuss career opportunities in New Jersey’s bio-science Industry. Learn about the federally-funded NJ Bio-One initiative and other programs New Jersey is using to keep this industry growing. Ms. Koziol’s talk will include how to evaluate your experience, find training opportunities, and how to transition to a career in the bio-science industry. The presentation will take place in the library’s Job Resource Center. Registration suggested: call 732-671-3700 ext. 320 to register.

Tickets are only $1 each, and proceeds support the Middletown Township Public Library Foundation.
The odds are good - and last year's winner took home over $3,000.Pick up your tickets at the Borrower's Service Desk.
Foundation grants provide programs and services to the library that are outside regular funding, including a library science scholarship, furniture and computers, sponsorship of the Music for a Wednesday Evening Series, Job Resource Center, and many more concerts, public programs, and activities.
