Flashback: Drawings by June Wilson<br>

Abstract artist June Wilson early in her career created very fine realistic drawings and paintings. The drawings in this exhibit span the years 1977 - 1984, and illustrate her transition from realism to abstraction.

The 2,000 census shows more than 25% of NJ families, 2 million of 5.8 million residents, speak a language other than English at home. They speak Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Creole, Tagalog, Korean, Gujarathi, French, Cajun, Arabic, German, Russian, Hindi, Greek, Telugu, Tamil, Turkish, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Romany, Amharic, Ibo, Twi, Yoruba, Bantu, Swahili, and more.

So many languages, so many people to meet and stories to hear! During August, Middletown Library and the Literacy Volunteers of Monmouth Countywill be sponsoring English Conversation Classes on Tuesday evenings at the main library. If your native language is not English, join other learners in a friendly, fun conversation.

Classes are open to all adults, age 18 and over who are not native English speakers, and are facilitated by trained and certified volunteer tutors.
