HOW ARE DIABETES AND HEART DISEASE LINKED?
People with diabetes are two to four times more likely to develop heart disease. Meridian physicians will discuss this connection and what you can do to maintain heart health. We will have Meridian Health staff members here to do free health screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and BMI) from 6-7pm, followed by a lecture on Diabetes and Heart Disease from 7-8pm.
