NOTICE FROM THE LIBRARY DIRECTOR

Pending final approval of the Trustees of the Library, we regretfully announce that all branch libraries are scheduled to be closed to the public on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.  This action is necessary due to major budgetary constraints.

FEBRUARY BRANCH SCHEDULES: BAYSHORE    LINCROFT    NAVESINK

Customers who registered for library cards at branches will have their cards automatically changed to Main.  All HOLDS will be picked up at Main.  Outside book drops at the branches will remain open for a few weeks into March.

Additional programs for children are being scheduled at the Main Library to compensate for the loss of the branch programs.  We welcome the regular customers of the branches to the Main Library, where, after March 1st,  you will find the familiar faces of our branch personnel.

A committee is being formed to discuss possible alternatives to branch closure. Residents of Navesink/Locust, Lincroft or the Bayshore area should contact their representative on this committee if they want to help or have ideas.
