All are welcome to come and experience Count Basie's Rock It! teen musicians and singers perform. These talented young artists perform the third Sunday of each month from 2:30-4:30 in our community room. Their skills are nurtured and honed by Juillard music school graduate Bruce Gallipani. It's an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon while supporting aspiring artists! This will be the last Rock It! regular program until September 18th, when it resumes. There will be smaller gatherings over the summer, dates yet to be determined. light refreshments.

Tween Special: Could You Survive? Presented by NJ Search & Rescue Mon. May 16th - 7-8pm - Grades 3 & Up Have you ever wondered what you would do if forced to survive in the wilderness? NJ Search & Rescue will be here to teach us wilderness survival—we’ll learn what to do until rescue. Whether you are a veteran camper or prefer to commune with nature via the Discovery Channel, you’re sure to learn something new about wilderness adventure. Interested teens & adults are welcome to attend, but please no children below third grade. A parent must remain in the building if children are in third or fourth grade.

"ANIMAL ADAPTATIONS - Feathers, Beaks, & Claws" Animal Adaptations…Why does a Zebra have stripes? We’ll investigate these types of questions and more in our hands-on program. CONOVER-WIHTOL SCHOLARSHIP For more information please visit the Library Scholarship page The Board of Trustees of the Middletown Township Public Library is pleased to announce the availability of the Conover-Wihtol Scholarship for no less than $500 for graduate study in Library Science. The Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Edith B. Conover and Karl F. Wihtol, both long-time residents of Middletown Township and dedicated friends to the Library. First consideration for eligibility will be given to residents of Middletown Township, but in the absence of qualified applicants from the Township, New Jersey residents will be considered. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or be in the final semester of undergraduate studies. The applicant will also be expected to provide evidence of acceptance for graduate work at an ALA accredited school of Library Science. This new anime/manga club has had a slow start but we are looking to add more members and have lots of activities. This group will meet the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 2:30-3:30 in the teen zone. A local manga author, Rebecca Buffin, who has recently published several books will do a presentation at one of the June meetings. There will be prizes and signed posters from her book(s). There will be anime movie sessions and window painting sessions also planned. Interested teens and tweens can e-mail teen librarian Ellie Strbo at estrbo@mtpl.org.
